Renting a holiday home from BHF is easy and secure. We have a contract with property owners and we have checked every property. You can trust that all our accommodations are what we say in the description. There will be no surprises when you’ll arrive. You can check our terms and conditions at any time. If you would have problems during your holidays we will assist you. At the time of booking you only need to pay a 15% reservation fee (up to 60 days before the designated arrival date). You may cancel your booking up to 28 days before your arrival and you will get your money back, except the reservation fee and service fee.©Kari Ylitalo/ Visit Finland

How to book

  1. Browse the accommodation types. When you have found the cottage or another accommodation select Availability and book 
  2. Select the dates from the calendar (if available) or send an inquiry
  3. Fill in the form that appears
  4. Read and accept the conditions and privacy policy.
  5. Send
  6. We will reply to you within 48 hours to your email. You will receive an invoice for the Rental Service in connection with the reservation confirmation.  If you made the reservation earlier than 60 days before the beginning of the trip you pay only the reservation fee of 15 % immediately plus service fee to confirm the booking. In case the total price is less than 250 euros you need to pay the whole price
  7. You can pay with a credit card or with a bank transfer.
  8. Accepted payment methods:  rent_payment_methdos
  9. Your booking is confirmed as soon as we have received the payment.
  10.  The final payment shall be due 60 days before the beginning of the trip designated in the reservation. The invoice must be settled as a SEPA payment using IBAN as account number and BIC bank code. Please remember to insert the reference number mentioned in the invoice.
  11. We will give you the address and driving instructions by email. You will be asked to fill in the passenger information card from each person staying in the accommodation.
What is included in the price?
Cottage rental price includes use of the cottage and sauna, heating, water (not drinkable) and firewood for the fireplace and sauna. Departure cleaning, bed linen and towels are not always included. Please read the cottage description.
What if we arrive late?
Check-in time is at 16 unless stated differently in the cottage description.  If you need a later check-in time, please agree with the cottage owner. Usually check-in time after 8 p.m is not possible.
Does the owner speak my language?
The cottage owners should speak at least some English. In case you have problems to communicate with the owner please contact us. We speak English and Italian.
Can I drink tap water?
Often the tap water in the cottages contains iron or has a bad taste or smell. It is not dangerous, you may boil it and drink it. However we recommend to purchase bottled drinking water.
What if I break something?
If it happens that you break something, discuss openly about it with the owner. Most cases can be solved quickly. You can agree about the price to credit to the owner. It can be taken from the deposit you paid. If you have not paid any deposit you should pay in cash to the owner. In some cases you need to sign that you have broken something and an invoice will be sent to you by the property owner. In these cases it is good to have a travel insurance.
When do I need to pay the rent?
You may choose to pay the whole amount at the time of reservation or you can just pay the reservation fee of 15% and the rest of the rental price 60 days before the arrival. All reservations under EUR 250 shall be paid in full at the time of making the reservation.
What happens if I cancel my reservation?
To make a cancellation you should send an e-mail to info@blueholidaysfinland.com.  If the cancellation is done 28 days before arrival or later you will not get your money back. If you cancel earlier you will only be charged the reservation fee and service fee.
Can I take my dog with me?
Animals are not always allowed. Every property has its own policy. Please check the description of the property.
Can I arrange a birthday party in the cottage?
Parties are not allowed. If you are planning a birthday party or any such event you should agree with the property owner first.
My friend lives nearby, can I invite her to stay over night?
The request must be agreed with the property owner. In any case you can't exceed the maximum number of people stated in the property description.
Where can I smoke?
Smoking is not allowed in any of our properties. Not inside nor outside in the terrace.
Do I have to clean the place before leaving? and what do I have to clean exactly?
Cleaning is usually optional. It can be included in the rent price or you can order it by paying an extra fee. You may also choose to do it yourself and save money. Departure cleaning: The Customer shall arrange clean dishes to the cupboard and empty the trash, fridge and freezer as well as take out all empty bottles and cans. The furniture of the Rental Property shall be set in their original places and the floors shall be mopped and hoovered. All stands and tables shall be wiped with a damp cloth and the sauna and toilet facilities shall be washed. The grounds of the Rental Property shall be emptied of trash and shall be left as they were when the Customer arrived. Linen and towels shall be left folded at the end of the bed.
